Example Two

Edward (not his real name) had always been financially independent and never asked for help.  He needed surgery and knew that recovery would keep him from working for a month.  The RBF, along with family and friends, stepped in to help with financial assistance.  But his recovery was slower than anticipated, and Edward was out of work for two months instead of one month.  A small additional RBF grant for the second month helped him get back on his feet and return to work.
